Walter Harris is an insurance industry veteran with more than 30 years of insurance, legal, and tax experience. He is the Director and Chair of the Audit Committee for Loews Corporation and chairs the boards of Citizens Budget Commission and Watford Re Ltd. Walter is also the former President and CEO of FOJP Service Corporation and Hospitals Insurance Company (HIC).

Prior to joining HIC, Walter was a senior advisor to The Related Companies and was also vice chairman of Alliant Insurance Services, Inc., one of the largest insurance brokerage firms in the country. Walter was President and CEO of T&H Group (formerly known as Tanenbaum-Harber Co. Inc.), a company he joined in 1980 and subsequently built into one of the largest privately held property/casualty and benefit brokers in the United States, prior to its acquisition by Alliant in 2011. Before joining Tanenbaum-Harber, he was a tax attorney at a Wall Street law firm.

Walter received a BA from Stanford University, a JD from the University of California at Berkeley, and an LLM in taxation from New York University School of Law.
